MIG / TIG Welder
We are currently seeking a MIG/TIG Welder, we are a leading UK Manufacturer of Sheet Metal Products. Required for welding thin sheet metal. Welding experience preferred. Applicants will be asked to attend a weld test which must be completed to a high standard.
Ideally you will be an experienced MIG/TIG welder who is able to fabricate and weld from complex engineering drawings.
Be willing to work as part of a highly skilled team.
Previous experience of MIG welding thin gauge steel and stainless steel TIG welding is essential.
Aluminium TIG welding experience would be desirable.
Able to work in a safe manner and adhere to safety directives.
Report any health and safety matters including accidents to the Production Manager.
Able to finish items with tools such as a grinder or orbital sander to a high standard.
Carry out regular inspections to ensure that the qualities of all manufactured components are to the acceptable standards.
You will have a sound understanding of engineering drawings and be fully conversant with all processes regarding sheet metal fabrication and welding.
Worked in a fast paced environment where efficiency and quality are key.
Have a keen eye for quality and able to work with the quality team to ensure a “right first time” approach to work.
A recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship would be desirable
Previous welding qualifications would be an advantage
Hours of work:
Monday – Thursday 08:00 to 17:00
Friday 08:00 to 13:15
